MITI Wants Local Institutions To Adopt ICAM's Concept Teaching
KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) wants to see International College of Automotive's (ICAM) concept teaching "By the Industry for the Industry" to be adopted by other local institutions.
MITI Deputy Minister Hamim Samuri said he was impressed by the development of the college in supporting the local automotive community.
"I was also encouraged by the passion demonstrated by the ICAM management to develop talents for the automotive industry," he said in a statement Friday.
Hamim visited the ICAM in Pekan recently to have a better understanding of the strategic role of the college in supporting the local automotive community.
He further reiterated the automotive industry was integral to Malaysia's aspiration to becoming a high-income country by 2020.
ICAM was established by HICOM University College Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Bhd.
