JOHOR BARU: Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has called on the state government to review the state's decision to make its official rest days on Friday and Saturday.

 The Sultan said  although the official religion of the state is Islam,  there are other religious faiths in the community.

 The  feedback from the rakyat, especially those in private sector was that they wanted to spend more time with the family on Fridays, the Sultan urged for a review of its rest days.

 The ruler said this in his speech at the opening of the second half of the 13th Johor State Assembly where the first sitting will begin on June 1.
