Effective from 1 April 2017, Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) is expanding the PSMB Act 2001 scope of coverage for all sub-sectors under Manufacturing, Service, and Mining & Quarrying sectors.

The amendments and Expansion of the PSMB Act 2001 include an additional expansion of its optional category for employer with 5 to 9 Malaysian employees across the 3 mentioned sectors: standardization of its Mandatary Category with the abolishment of the requirement for a paid-up capital for the Manufacturing and Mining & Quarrying sectors; and the mandatory requirement for employers across the 3 mentioned sectors with 10 or more Malaysian employees to register under the PSMB Act 2001.
